I disagree. 'Rockers' seemed out of place for a song about the radio. The radio plays more than rock.

that's very true, but back in the '80s it wasn't uncommon to find the excellent rock on FM. Iron Maiden, late KISS, slayer, other heart songs bands. Lots of them were on the airwaves back then. Unfortunately, it's not that way anymore.
