From the birthplace and birth time of the Sixties Psychedelic Counterculture (Cambridge, MA), from American master guitarist Peter Walker's album "Rainy Day Raga" (Vanguard, 1966) with liner notes by Timothy Leary ("Peter Walker plays on the ancient protein strings of the genetic code"). Clear spring day in 1967: incense, candles, a paisley Indian bedspread, a stoneware bowl of mandarin oranges, a vase of tulips, with their stained-glass hallucinatory mandala interiors, and this record playing, over and over....
