We are a small builder located in Glen Rose, TX. We build affordable, energy efficient homes that far exceed Energy Star standards. We recently won the 2008 Energy Value Housing Award for this house. This house was built before the encapsulated lightbulbs were available. We now use encapsulated lightbulbs.

Hi! I checked with the owners recently - they keep at very cold in the summer, about 68 degrees. It was a little over $100 in the summer at that temperature.
We are in TX and our summers are very hot!
