Fordson major v8 turbo diesel.

This is a fordson super major that i fitted a perkins 540 v8 turbo diesel engine into, we use it for tractor pulling a vintage shows.

o my mother what a beast u change the gearbox to? but how fast wil it goes ?

@del121a usually due to overfueling either advance the pump by a few degrees or you can wind the rack back abit, hope it helps!

you could try advancing the pump a touch , a little light blue usually measn pump slightly retatrded timing wise . hope it helps

hi, have v8540 turbo perkins also in hgv, (can rev to 2500rpm at max, , have blue smoke (light blue haze on idle and full rpm, any ideas, had new oil, filters etc, turbo is spinning but not sure if maybe leaking oil or something, any ideas
