@murdockqotsa Joe is talking about brazilian jiu jitsu athletes not wrestlers...I can only agree with Joe, every guy I trained with was extremly cool, not cocky, and most of those guys are really educated guys who study or have really good jobs. Sorry for my english :P
For some reason every wrestler I've ever met has not at all been "cool" as Joe describes. Maybe it's just my experience but they're always super fucking cocky fratbro kind of guys.
One other tip I've learned, is tap early in training. Its better to tap and go again and learn from your mistakes then to fight it with strength and risk injury. Just like anything its all about the reps...
I'm not ranked because I don't train with a Gi on... but this is coming up to my first year at it and I can say this guys. KEEP GOING... I can't stress it enough, it gets way less hard on the body after around 2 or 3 sessions. I'm fully addicted now and would never be able to live without. Jiu Jitsu changed my life.
