oh my gosh! i am moving to yachats in a couple of weeks from ohio. this amazing up-beat video is one more reason to embrace the laid back, awesome beauty of oregonian humor! perhaps your very catchy tune should be on the venue for the next "la de da" parade! PEACE.........

That was very good and funny! I think Yachats might best be described as an eclectic village filled with hippies, cowboys, rednecks, gay, lesbians etc.....you name it and we've got it.
I like to call it - Yachats. A quaint coastal drinking village with a slight fishing problem! And don't forget our theme..."We're all here cause we're not all there"!
As for me-I am quite content here in La La Land!

I consider myself a Yachatian even though I don't live in the city limits - and I think you've hit a point there. But not everyone in Yachats is gay or a hippie though. Plenty aren't. What I like about Yachats though is that those that aren't, accept those who are. Peace out,--Milo

Oh my God! This is the best thing I've ever found on YouTube! I live and work in Yachats, and even though this doesn't describe our fair town whatsoever, it still have a Yachatian feel to it. I want to meet and hug all four of you. My new heroes... kudos, gang.

Yachats is a Jewish community? I live in Waldport (about ten minutes north), and I always thought it was a gay/hippie community.

Hahaha, nice song. I live in Yachats.
Vonquale, Thanks for your comments. It was a first take!

Pasta, it is not a Jewish community per se, the song was a joke because my sister always promounced "Yachats" with a Hebrew/Yiddish sound to it, where the "ch" was like clearing your throat. Try it once: "Ya-ghzhzhz-ats"
The same sound as in "L'hayyim" ("To life")
