  • I'm so sorry, I wish we could do more to help. If you want to talk to others, be sure to visit the TRIPAWDS site so that you can ask people for ideas about keeping her comfortable. Good luck.

  • Ya, we are giving her alot of proteins - im not sure what it is supposed to do but we r trying to make her comfortable as best we can and when it becomes too much for her i guess shell have to get put down

  • "her unaffected leg has a replaced joint" ... This is unfortunate, we feel for you. Your vet should know best, and we hope your family is following his/her recommendations. There are a few dogs with TRIPAWDS blogs who have underwent surgeries in their remaining legs. Best wishes...

  • my grandma said we shouldnt amputate since she is 11 years old - shes in good health but her unaffected leg has a replaced joint from when she got hit by a car and they think it will be too much strain on the leg and think she wont be able to get in and out of the car and house :(
