Children are born gay but I don't think it's genetic. I think, as this study indicates, that sexuality can be determined by hormones in the womb.

Im transgender & I knew ever since I was 4.

You are right that most kids are just playing around, but with transgender people like me, we were different than those kids.

Ive always had discomfort with my physical sex. Enjoying the stereotypical "girly" things just came along with that, like most girls.

When I first had to change in front of boys at 7 years old at a camp, I felt violated and was traumatized cuz I felt I should've been changing with the girls, even when i was told i was a boy lol

@boat252 its not a choice. Being gay is not a voluntary action, it's an attraction. Just like you don't "choose" to be attracted to women, it comes naturally. You don't "Choose" to like the smell of bacon do you? It's not a conscious thing at all, it's just an existence

When I transitioned latter in life I know a 5 year old kid, We explained to her what was going to happen, but in a way she would understand. We just told her I was not going to be a boy anymore and be a girl, her responce was "ok". You can explain it in a way the kids will understand. asking them if you like prending to be a girl is a good question that might indcate you may need to talk to a profinal, even out and out asking do you want to be a girl, they will just answer honestly and not care

Im trans and I know when I was in kindergarden that I was suppost to be a girl, but because I was a shy kid and the teachers keep telling me, that boys don't play girl games and with girl toys, I learned at that age that people would not accept me. I wanted to please the so much I went into the closet, I KNEW when I was five its one of my earlist memories. I respect your opinion that we can't know, im telling you from experinece we do. IDK about 2 but at a very young age we know.

oh yes they do...a lot of trans kids know from their early age they are different and there's something wrong,that their body doesn't match with their brain...that's just the way it is.

and about gay people...we'll i can't tell if they are born gay or not,but just like transgender people,it's not a matter of choice...you don't choose to be gay or trans,it's just the way you are born,some of them realize it from the very start,most of them try to hide it and live a lie.

You can't be born GAY ITS A CHOICE FOR BOTH BOYS AND GIRLS. I know some girls that are lesbians which some of those girls are who I loved which disappointed considering they're a lesbian. I am a heterosexual male making this comment
