Chapter 24

Okay so I did my best to keep the promise. Here it is Wednesday and I'm writing the chapter for you. Its about 3:30 now and I hope to be done and have this posted by 5 at the latest. (I still have to edit the video!)

After they all settled on that agreement they heard people come in the front of the bus. Joe and Kacy were back.
Nick: *Walked up front* Hey, how was the date?
Kacy: Truly amazing. *Smiles at Joe*
Joe: We're you expecting anything less from me?
Kacy: Maybe, I didn't think it'd be quite so romantic.
Joe: *Sarcastic* Michelle Elise Dolan! You don't think I'm romantic?!
Kacy: Maybe that's what I meant. Who knows. *Walks to the back room where Kevin and Deena are talking really seriously.* Ooh, maybe I shouldn't be back quite yet. I'll just change first, c'mon Joe!
Joe: Um, yeah alright. See you.

And with that they left. Deena and Kevin looked back at each other and Deena looked like she was gonna cry.
Deena: I didn't mean too. I mean we were drunk that night. I didn't know what I was doing.
Kevin: Why didn't you tell me before?
Deena: I was afraid you'd hate me.
Kevin: How could I hate you? Like you said it wasn't your fault. You were drunk, I'm a little mad about that but we had our crazy times in high school. Everyone in the neighborhood was into the whole "messed up" scene. As I remember we were the "freaky homeschooled kids" and all we wanted was to fit in. We both had our crazy, fucked up times.
Deena: I know, but I thought that if I told anyone, even if it was just you, that it would get out and my parents would find out and I'd become the "freaky homeschooled slut."
Kevin: I don't think you're a slut, and even if you were I wouldn't take advantage of that. It was one time, and it was a mistake and as long as you know that -- you're pure as anything to me.
Deena: Thanks, but I don't know if I should like just keep this to me or something. Craig won't leave me alone. I get like an email or text or something like every month since it happened. He never leaves me alone.
Kevin: Didn't you two hook up like 2 years ago?
Deena: Yeah, and we were talking for a while after. I was thinking about going out with him, then I found out he's still doing all that drinking and shit. He won't leave me alone, he thinks that I'm gonna sleep with him again. I just want him to go away.
Kevin: Next time he calls, let me talk to him. I'll try to help you out. If that doesn't help then we'll move from there. But until then, just don't worry about it. And remember -- you're still pure as anything to me; no matter what.
Deena: *Cuddling with Kevin, switching on the TV* Thanks babe. I love you Kev.
Kevin: I love you too.

Back in the front of the bud Joe and Kacy had changed and were telling Nick and McKenzie what they walked in on in the back room. They were a little freaked out about how serious they looked. Deena looked like she was gonna cry. Kacy couldn't get the look out of her head. She was worried.
Kacy: Did Deena and Kevin say anything to you guys that would make Deena upset?
Kenzi: Well, they told us about something that happened with Kevin when he was 15 that kinda explain why Deena was so upset about me and Nick sleeping "together."
Joe: What happened?
Nick: It was about Courtney; you and me already knew.
Joe: Oh, how he almost banged her when they were 15.
Nick: Yeah. Deena was a little snappy about it when he told us.
Kacy: How did you guys know if he was just telling Nick and Kenzi now?
Joe: The kid doesn't hide anything in his room, he wrote it down somewhere and we found it. Plus, who do you think came up with the "I won't give it up, just to show you I'm in love" in Inseparable?
Kenzi: Oh. I thought that was just like, whatever. It makes sense now.
Kacy: Yeah, but do you think that's what upset Deena? I'm really freaked out about her. I can't get the look of her face out of my head.
Deena: The look of whose face?

Deena and Kevin had walked back in and heard the last thing Kacy had said. Deena kinda knew what was going on, what they were talking about; she didn't want to have to explain what they were talking about back there. It wasn't their business, and if she didn't have to tell them she wouldn't.

Is Deena gonna have to tell them what happened?
I don't know. If she does how will they react? It'll be a shocker, to all of them.

R.I.P. Stephanie, one of the leaders of the official JB street team. She passed yesterday, and I have no details. JB posted a bulletin about it on myspace. They miss her, and we will all see her in eternity.
