  • This is sweet.

  • pluckfastic!

  • The video turned out SO great! I love it! Use reusable bags when you shop(:

  • @cartoonfan1920s

Most, if not plastic bags you are taking home from the grocery store are made overseas, specifically in China.

In DC there is a $.05 bag tax with a portion going to grocery stores to pay for the bags they they have been for years supplying for free. Also, they are making a profit from the reusable bags they sell.

That said, when you buy your reusable bags, you can certainly be mindful of only buying bags made in the USA

  • You also say "if people actually recycled them"... good point. One of the main problems is that they don't recycle them (only 1-3% are recycled)...

  • This is a global issue, not just the US. Most plastic bags in the world are not made in the USA and not all reusable bags are made in China. If you want to buy one that is made in the USA, go right ahead, there are plenty of options out there. You say that "plastic bags are cleaner." Explain to me how the organic cotton reusable bags that I've brought to the store every week for the past 3 years are "dirtier" than if I had taken 10 or more plastic bags a week instead (>1500 bags over 3 years).

  • Think about it, there are a lot of people in the USA making and recycling plastic bags. Those reusable bags that you buy are made in china! Reusable bags are not sustainable. As well as the chemicals in the reusable bags can contaminate fresh food making them poisonous. Plastic bags are cleaner and if people ACTUALLY recycled them, reusable bags would be useless.

  • what are you talking about you crazy old man? putting people out of work? bad for the economy? are you kidding? lazy, spiteful people like you make me sick. REUSABLE BAGS ROCK!!!

  • And putting people out of work! Reusable bags are horrible for the economy.

  • It's as easy as pie, and it might save a life!
