This is a 5x5x5 led cube with blue diffuse leds. It currently has 14 different led patterns which are all selectable with a switch on the back of the cube. When pressing for 2 seconds, the led cube is in random mode. It will show a new random led pattern each 30 seconds.
The led cube can be connect with an adapter with minimum 9V and 500mA. The led cube has an internal voltage regulator providing 5V. There is also an 6-pins header which can be used to In-System Program the ATmega32.
Important components:
ATmega32
125 diffuse leds
25 BC547 transistors
5 BC337 transistors
LM7805 voltage regulator
resistors
capacitors

Are this 3MM led's?
But where have you purchased them?
I like them.

usually it runs on PIC which you can programmed it and just a bit of 1's and 0's will do it. then add some delays in each code to make it more like dancing leds..
