Born in Illinois, educated in Iowa. I have to say my years in Iowa were probably the best years of my life. Didn't expect that from an Asian redneck like me. :D

Anyone ever hear of soybeans? In our part of Iowa at least, it's about 50/50 corn and soybeans. The song would have been more correct if it were written 60 or 70 years ago . . .
-
I think the last 'verse' deserved to be longer, and needed three times the 'corn' it has now, knowing it's over 100 miles from Des Moines to Council Bluffs.

Jeff Foxworthy says you must be an Iowan if.....
Your idea of a traffic jam is ten cars waiting to pass a tractor on the highway.
You know several people who have hit a deer.
You end your sentences with an unnecessary preposition. Example: "Where's my coat at?"
You know what the numbers 80, 35, 280 and 380 mean. You've never met any celebrities...
and you don't really care.
I live in Iowa, and I love it! :)
