Congressman Joe Courtney speaks on behalf of H.R. 3548, which passed the House of Representatives on November 5, 2009. The legislation extends an additional 14 weeks of unemployment benefits to all states, including Connecticut; extends homebuyer tax credits for first-time homebuyers and military families; and provides relief to small businesses by extending a five year net operating loss carry-back to 2009. The legislation is fully paid for and will not add to the deficit.
