"Vintage Star Wars Weekly" is a video show that focuses on vintage Star Wars toys. A new episode is released on youtube every Monday. The main hosts of the show are Darth Beer and Admiral Wetbar. The show also features weekly segments from Princess Midori and Sebastian DiNapoli. There is a different vintage figure featured on the show every week, with video of variant figures and commentary being provided by Sebastian. Princess Midori reads viewer emails in her weekly segment, and she also hosts a monthly vintage figure give-away contest that is open to anybody who would like to enter.

Episode #4 - June 2, 2008:
The featured figure this week is
PRINCESS LEIA

Also in this episode, Princess Midori starts her latest vintage figure give-away!
The contest will run from:
June 2 - June 27, 2008
INSTRUCTIONS FOR ENTERING THE VINTAGE FIGURE GIVE-AWAY CONTESTS:
The give-away contests will start on the first Monday of every month, and the winner will be announced by Princess Midori on the last Monday of every month.

On the first Monday of every month, Princess Midori will show you the give-away figure in her segment of the show and she will tell you the name of that figure.

If you want to enter the drawing to win the figure, all you have to do is send her an email. Her email address is: vswwmidori@yahoo.com

The SUBJECT LINE of your contest entry email MUST contain the name of the figure she is giving away. For instance, if she is giving away a Darth Vader figure that month, then the SUBJECT LINE of your email should read: "Darth Vader contest".

The BODY of your contest entry email should contain your NAME and and the SHIPPING ADDRESS that you would like the figure sent to if you win.
If you don't give her your shipping address, then you WILL NOT be entered into the contest.

After you have entered the contest, be SURE to watch the last show of the month, because that will be the episode where Princess Midori announces the winner. You will NOT get an email telling you that you are the winner. You have to watch the show to see who the winner is.

If Princess Midori announces you as the winner of that months contest, you will have 7 days to email her again, from the SAME email address you used to enter the contest. The SUBJECT of this email should be "I won!".

The BODY of this email should again, contain the mailing address that you would like the figure shipped to.

If you do not email her within 7 days of winning the contest, then you will be disqualified and the figure will be offered again in a future contest.

You don't have to subscribe to this youtube channel to enter the monthly contests, but it is a VERY good idea to subscribe, so you don't miss any episodes of the show.

YOU CAN ONLY ENTER THE CONTEST ONCE EACH MONTH! If you try to enter more than once in the same month, you will NOT be entered into the drawing.

  • I started collecting around 10 or 11 years ago, using many of my toys from back in the day as a base. Havent really added much in the past few years due to too many rl things going on, like kids and the giant oak tree that fell on my truck 2 weeks ago, etc. etc.

Watching the Admiral gives me horror flashbacks to barfing bile for 3 days from drinking too much. Ive been dry ever since (that was like 20 years ago). I dont know you, but I still care. Take care of yourself Admiral.

  • Sorry to hear about your truck.

I know what you mean about building your collection slowly due to other things in life needing your attention. The last figure I recarded for my collection was the Bespin Security Guard in my recarding video here on youtube, and that was several months ago.

Also, Admiral Wetbar thanks you for your concern and congratulates you on your 20 years of sobriety. He would have posted this message himself, but he's STILL recovering from this episode!

  • Another great show. I look forward to seeing the new set next week. I began collecting as a collector around '93. I was only 15 at the time. I found some ads in a toy magazine and ordered the first of my figure collection.

  • Admiral Wetbar and I are going to put the finishing touches on the new set tonight, so it'll be ready for episode 5. It's going to be much better than the white sheet we've had hanging behind us in previous episodes! LOL

  • i think watching a home vid of me ripping open a Bobe Fett at 3-4 made me decide to collect the figures, keep the shows coming!

  • Your post just gave me a great idea! I think when we get closer to Christmas this year, it would be cool to have a show featuring pictures of all of us opening Star Wars toys when we were kids.

I know that my parents have pics of me as a kid on Christmas morning opening my Rancor and Ewok village. I'm sure that lots of viewers have similar pictures of themselves as kids on Christmas and birthdays. I think that would make for a cool episode.

  • i started collecting vintage star wars 2 years ago.. im 18 now and my collection is still slowly growing. my dad got me into collecing them because hes been collecting his since he was a kid in the 70s, so i figured what the hell and i started collecting

  • i began collecting last, year when I was only 12 year of age. Yes, a 13 year old with a vintage star wars action figure collection. I've actually got a collection of figures close to darth beers, but not as many. I also collect box play sets. P.S. Im spoiled, lol.

  • I can't remember when I started collecting Star Wars figures as I was not a very bright child and would not have known what year it was at the time! Probably about 1980.

I stopped before the range which included Yak Face, when I switched to Action Force figures.

    I re-started as a "collector" in the early 1990's

  • Collectors beware...DONT EVER buy from Yodas Hovel on ebay. He will take your money but you will receive nothing. He is a thief and cant be trusted.

  • Wow, if I had a complete collection of boxed vintage Star Wars figures I could get me a hot girlfriend. Hang on, that statement makes no sense.

  • I've been collecting for almost a year.

  • Since about 1984 when I was 4 years old.

  • Q of the week

    About 2 years

  • ohh yea the question, i was a collector when i was a kid, i got more serius ( and got into the vintage deapper) around my 10th birthday, and collected untill the "revenge of the sith came out(i did not collect mainstream figures)hype was down in 06, so for 6 years, and i got kinda back into collecting about a year ago, but then only a few figures which has been stored away directly after i got them, so yea
