I think most people are overreacting. If the right situation allows than it's a helpful tip. For example: he's not as interested in you very much anymore, maybe takes you for granted a little-- letting him see other guys are willing to take you off his hands, makes him see what he truly has. It has nothing to do with cheating at all.

Making your boyfriend jealous by flirting will make him wonder things like"Is she cheating behind my back?" or "Am I not good enough?" Looking sexy in "public" is an innocent way to achieve the desired result. I would interpret the "going to a bar" in a not-so-innocent way. Making jeoulous may work as long as he "knows" you. In the absence of this context it may falsely confirm unintennded characteristics. Your behavior speaks. If you are saying "I love you" and it isnt working - look elsewhere. Don't do anything that says something other than the way you truly feel - he may believe it and you will be hurt (now reverse roles).

you're absolutley wrong. if you make a man jealous at ALL. he feels like he's not enough anymore and that you're no longer attracted to him. so he feels like he needs to find someone who does. and especially flirting another guy, is not the way to go. that triggers exactly what i just said. men want their women to only be attracted to them, which is impossible, but that's how they want to feel.
