  • Hope i dont offend any Lupe stans, but who on this song can't hang rhyme for rhyme w/Lupe? If dude came out in the early 90's he'd be just another MC. Shit AZ>>Lupe IMO...Dude supposed to save hip hop? I got more hope in Jon Connor, Reek Da Villain, Kendrick Lamar, JCole, etc... Lupe's new album is commercial garbage. I'm sure some stans will come after me for this.....

  • @TheCardsfan2 Lupe is ill, but yeah your right his last album was shit.. still think he's one of the best emcees out no doubt.. J.Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Big K.R.I.T definitely the future of hip-hop..

  • @TheCardsfan2 Go look up Dumb it Down by Lupe Fiasco on Rap Genius. They have the lyrics explanation and the official video for you to listen to on this page. This song is cited by English scholars as the greatest example of intelligent poetry in hip-hop. You may disagree, but the majority of learned men do not.

  • @TheCardsfan2 You speak like you are hardly literate. Big Daddy Kane, Rakim, and Kool G Rap cannot compare to Lupe Fiasco. Lupe fits 10 meanings into a single statement. You consider it a killer line when Rakim fits 3meanings into a single statement. Nas is a great lyricist, but it's more the poetry aspect of his lyrics than the complexity which makes him so great. Perhaps greatest was the wrong word, but smartest is not. Have you listened to ALL of Food and Liquor and The Cool?

  • @jcolekendricklamar You are INSANE fam!" Lupe Fiasco is the greatest lyricist of all time"???????????GET the fuck outta here man, i 'm done......Oh, and go peep Big Daddy fucking Kane, Rakim, G Rap etc.. cats from 20 yrs ago who's lyricism would kill 99% of rapper/"MC's" out today! Aye that's your opinion, but i can't take you seriously no more b. NAS????? Is he not on Lupe's level either? WOW...i'm out bruh, you win...SMH

  • @TheCardsfan2 Food and Liquor is a better album than Quality, although I doubt you have even close to listened to the full album, becuase you are so biased. As for your media comment, that was just ridiculous. The majority of the media are of the same opinion as you, stop being such a baby. Lupe gets no respect for his lyricism, despite lyrically outstripping every other emcee. His flow is also great as are his technical rap skills. Stop hating if you don't know anything.

  • @TheCardsfan2 Also, AZ is mad underrated, but once Lupe Fiasco gets a couple more albums out, he will be better than AZ. He doesn't have enough material right now. Hip-Hop doesn't need any saving if its listeners keep a positive outlook. Call me a Lupe stan if you will, but he's not even one of my five favorite emcees. On the topic of Lasers, he did not have creative control over the alvum and thus, over 3/4 of the original content was not allowed on the album by Atlantic Records.

  • @TheCardsfan2 You are such a loser. My favorite emcees are Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Nas, Common, and Black Thought (and The Roots). Still, I acknowledge, unlike you, that Lupe Fiasco is the greatest lyricist of all time. His metaphors and wordplay far outstrip the complexity of any of his competition. I hate people like you who think the 90s are so hot, that if great new emcees were in that period that they would be average. Lupe would not be as his lyrics are better than any other.

  • @cnoyes82 AZ, MOP, NAS, WU TANG, TALIB, MOS, ROOTS, ORGANIZED KONFUSION, OUTKAST, A TRIBE CALLED QUEST, LEADERS OF THE NEW SCHOOL, BLACK SHEEP, NAUGHTY BY NATURE, SOULS OF MISCHIEF, PHARCHYDE, PUBLIC ENEMY , EPMD, MAIN SOURCE, MIC GERONIMO, BLACK MOOON,SMIF N WESSUN, HELTAH SKELTAH, LORDS OF THE UNDERGROUND, REDMAN, DEL, OC, BIG L, 2 PAC BIG PUN, BUSTA SOLO SHIT, DMX, JAY Z, FUGEES, LL, KANE, RAKIM (ALL PUT OUT SOLID SHIT IN THE 90'S) AND IM LEAVING OUT ABOUT 10-20 OTHER ARTIST!!!!. 90'S RULE

  • @TheCardsfan2 Hip Hop doesn't need to be saved, it didn't die it just went underground. There is more good hip hop today than there was in the 90's it's just not on the radio.

  • @TheCardsfan2 Don't be a sheeple and blame my opinion on the media. Fact remains, lupe bridged the gap for todays youth. Him, Cole and kendrick. If it wasnt for them, a lot of people MY AGE would have no idea about the golden age. Sadly. And this cd is dope for sure...but its not F&L....F&L is one of the best albums, content, flow, and beat choice wise. Beats are a huge part of a song..id know, im a producer lol.

  • @MatthewHoustonMusic what's that mean? The Roots haven't made any good albums? Pharoe Monch hasn't made any good albums(Stress, the 2nd Organized Konfusion joint was bananas!!) AZ's Doe or Die is classic...Aziatic is pretty damn good too. And this Talib cd is classic in itself.LUpe aint the only MC makin hot albums. That's just what the media tells you
