"I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" was written and first recorded by Hank Williams in 1949. This version by Joni James is from Jonis 1959 MGM album, Sings Songs of Hank Williams. This album was paired with her 1962 album, Joni James Country Style, on a CD released by Taragon Records in 2005.

Joni sings this in such a way you almost
believe she is going through what she
is singing about.
