I would hope that the neighborhoods would by now be starting to be rebuilt,......... but what happened to the people that used to live in these neighborhoods? They now live in Amarillo Texas and Albuquerque New Mexico and similar cities nearby that welcomed them into their communities because they had no other place to go and wern't getting the help that everyone else was afforded during simillar disasters.

Government did a great job for huricane releif in South Carolina and then in Florida where FEMA put the states back in order within a year.

You're kidding, right? Have you been to NOLA since the storm...? There has been a lot of progress over the past two years. True, the Lower Ninth still looks like a war zone. But there are many businesses that have come back and are in the process of coming back right now. I assure you... most of the ones that stuck by the city are local -- not corporate.

The great Harry Shearer. Bassist for spinal tap, the greatest band to ever live. You may know him as Ned Flanders. Harry is right about New Orleans La. It still looks as if a bomb wnet off two years afterward. Shells of businesses and houses barely standing. Bush dropped the ball big time here!

Harry is right New Orleans is a wouned city where it appears that every other business is gutted and the ruins of a once great city lay in wait. Only the corporate survived!
