Since September 2007, I've been exploring the city of Chicago one neighborhood at the time. I've been to the North Side, the South Side, the West Side and the even the East Side (yes, the city has an East Side. It's just not very big). I've been to elite neighborhoods, wealthy neighborhoods, middle class neighborhoods, working class neighborhoods, poor neighborhoods, gentrifying neighborhoods and more ethnic enclaves than you can shake your stick at. I've seen the city at it's best and at it's very worst. Each neighborhood has something unique, something special (through some neighborhoods are definitely more interesting than others).

There are still plenty of Chicago neighborhoods I haven't explored yet. But for now, I would like to give my would-be viewers a peek at the many things I've seen so far.

  • just love that city

  • It's awesome, isn't it?

    (most of the time)

  • Oh and Ravenswood, Poletown, Garfield Park, Bryn Mawr, Ukrainian Village/East Village, and West Town

  • Also, some of the neighborhoods you listed as "missed" are actually in a video. Ukrainian Village is there, as is Ravenswood and Little Italy. Bryn Mawr is not a neighborhood and what exactly do you mean by "Poletown". (I can think of several neighborhoods that fit this moniker)

  • Missed Austin, Lawndale, Little Village (La Villita), Humboldt Park, Wrigleyville (although technically part of Lakeview, so is Boys' Town which was featured), Little Italy, Avondale, Back of the Yards, and others...

  • I missed a lot more than the neighborhoods you listed. As I pointed out in the video description, I have a lot of neighborhoods left to explore (though i've explored quite a few of them since this video was posted)

  • "Interesting" being the operative word - as your own favored videos clearly indicate. :)

I'll get around to exploring it eventually. It's just that it doesn't have much in the way of decent public transit connections
