I weep as I listen to this most beautiful voice of the 20th century. Thank you Dame Margaret for the many wonderful hours of magic you gave me when I was able to see you perform. Rest in eternal peace.

Margaret, I raise a glass of malt to your treasured memory, and listen to your magnificent Liebestodt. I know you would have preferred G&T tho.'
Now you truly are 'heavenly.'

@getschi007 Quite - his voice just really doesn't fit the role. Still, the orchestral play, and ALL the other characters on this cast are wonderful - especially Margaret!!
-
but what was said in many books is that:
CK was not happy about one phrase of isolde and he wanted to re-record it.
i didn't see CK commented on Kollo?

Merveilleuse Margaret. Sublime, musicale, d'une probité artistique absolue. Reposez en paix, et merci pour votre musique.

Only this voice, only this interpretation awakens in me a desire to explore the music of Wagner.
An exceptional recording from one of the 20th Century's exceptional sopranos!!

Phenomenal voice - phenomenal interpretation - phenomenal recording. R.I.P.

Merci et adieu. C'est trop grand pour dire plus.
I still don't understand what's wrong with this great Tristan recording that CK didn't want it published?

@amfortas1978 It lied more on Rene Kollo, which was and is (in my and obviously in Kleiber's opinion, too) as Tristan just horrible...
