Get your more info about Ford's eclectic vehicle plan at http://Facebook.com/FordElectricVehicles. Two members of the electric vehicle battery team - Engineering Manager John Gibeau and Executive Technical Leader Anand Sankaran - discuss the advantages of using lithium ion cells, how they collect data to improve battery performance, and tout the fast-charging methods.
@mgiaca it is supposed to be about 100 miles. cold does reduce the range of the batter y a little. various studies show that most people don't drive more than 30 miles per day.

What is the distance for a full charge for this focus. Does the winter climate up North near Chicago effect your charge and distance traveling.

Regenerative braking, is ok if your going down a long long steep hill, other than that it isn't worth the added hardware. Make it simple ford engineers, not overengineered.

do u have an option for fast charging with a 420v? if so would that decrease it life span? is this the same as those battery in laptop and cell phone? cuz those battery tend to lose it capacity at around 3 year.

We seriously need to promote electric cars. There is also a serious need for Ford to compete with Chevy since the Volt car may steal Ford's customers by a landslide.
Oh, I made a pedal-power vehicle with a grille from a '05 Ford Focus, as well as other amenities like headlights, and car radio, and whatnot.
My bike was even featured on the local news. There is a video of that news reel on my channel! watch.
