Asia Bibi, a Christian woman and mother of five, was sentenced to death by hanging in Pakistan after she allegedly "insulted" Muhammad. Almost immediately, the death sentence unleashed international condemnation, and put pressure on Pakistan's government to overturn the verdict and amend the country's blasphemy laws.

Pope Benedict XVI appealed for clemency but hard-line Islamic groups have threatened civil war if the government pardons Bibi.

Bibi's husband, 48-year-old Ashiq Masih, is desperate, convinced radical Islamic groups are aiming to kill the family. He has gone into hiding, along with his children, sheltered inside a Christian colony in an outlying district of Sheikhupura. Masih insists his wife was framed, a victim of old score-settling in their village of Ittan Walli, where his family was just one of two Christian families.

  • And yall wonder why America is so powerful. Maybe GOD is telling you to let people be free to believe what they want. I've been to Jacobabad and it's just plain sad. You people need to wake the hell up, rebel against this bullshit, and live life. Then maybe you won't be so sad and poor while your leaders ride around in solid gold Audi's <-- (Like Allah wants them to, right?). Signed USAF veteran.

  • Im pakistani muslim and all im feeling at this moment is alot of shame... I hope they let her go because the reasons to hang her for are useless so what if she said it... She didnt murder anyone, i wish the pakistani police would actually go out and deal with REAL cases.... useless police

  • @geniusjas87 Keep telling yourself that, bud. I find it rather amusing you felt the need to ramble on about such a thing when it's pretty obvious I'm not really the one you're trying to convince.

  • @truthdonthurt There is no next life. She is dead. If you believe that there is a next life then I'm sorry to say you have been fooled. Don't blindly believe in ridiculous rumors and realize the facts by yourself. If you let others decide what is right and what is wrong for you then you are nothing but a tool. A mere puppet. You have no purpose and no meaning of life. You may aswell be dead. Realize the truth. Don'l let others put ideas in your head.

  • Death to to fanatic mullahs! These fanatics are the threats to our country. Suleman Taseer is a hero who sacrificed his life for the supporting poor innocent christian woman. Pakistanis salute to this brave man.

  • @paulleason I think that counts as hate speech, and a direct threat to many.

  • @truthdonthurt Well said.
