  • The prisoners dillema is a litlle more complex, but i am not waisting my time here, just check it out on wiki.

  • @amoer3 According to Dilbert, the Nash-equilibrium would be (silence, silence, silence) cause , according to Dilbert, they will be set free at that point (because they don't have enough evidence to convict them) and nobody would want to change their strategy, since getting free is the best possible outcome for all three of them.

  • I don't understand the Nash-equilibrium in this video, can anybody explain it to me?

  • We watched this in Economics

  • Ice cream sandwiches. Who wouldn't rat out a friend for an ice cream sandwich?

  • How could someone who works at Path-E-Tech Management expect co-worker loyalty?

  • @nikanj Have you read about Hyperrationality before putting up a post?

  • @jb03hf

I think coordination would only work in situations with multiple equilibria. In a pure prisoner's dilemma you cannot coordinate towards the winning combination because for each individual, the option that leads directly towards that outcome is strictly dominated.

In fact, coordinating towards the winning combination in a prisoner's dilemma would require not pure rationality from each individual but irrational altruism.

Individual ambition doesn't always serve the common good. :P
