Bobby Rydell: The Awkward Made-For-Internet Movie

I know there is basically only a small handful of people out there who will understand ANY of this video, as it is honestly all just one huge inside joke taken WAY too unnecessarily far, with me making fun of my own personal delusions, and Bobby Rydell, whom I absolutely genuinely adore with all my heart. None of this is to be taken seriously. I was long overdue for a new project, so this was just the thing I needed. As intensely frustrating as the process is, I've missed making REAL videos like you cannot BELIEVE. :D

In an effort to save my audiences' ears, and my own dignity, I promised myself I would stop singing in my videos. MY APOLOGIES FOR NOT FOLLOWING THROUGH WITH THAT.

Many of you probably aren't aware of my recent growing love affair with Bobby, the 60s American teen idol pop singer of such songs as Volare, Wild One, Swingin' School, Forget Him... and STAR of the movie musical Bye Bye Birdie..., and that is understandable, mainly because it tends to be all made up in my head, BUT THAT IS OKAY. A girl can dream.

You may ALSO not be aware of my recent growing SIDE love affair with a London born actor chap by the name of Roddy McDowall, so that info as well may come in handy if you're just confused out of your socks. Needless to say, Bobby, the character in my head, is not too fond of overseas male competition in any form, as he feels it totally treads on his style. He's a very sensitive and passionate, easily heartbroken kinda lover boy, who is usually most comfortable expressing himself through song.

My recent rekindled appreciation for the golden oldies, which have spawned many-a lovable cheesy clean-cut and fun teen idols with perfect hair, has filled my life with a missing happiness. And I know for a fact it would not be as great as it is without the ongoing support and camaraderie of my dearest friend, Jorgé (who, BTW, is currently undergoing her own torrid love affair with NEIL SEDAKA. That is,... when she's not out gallivanting through wildflower fields with Freddie Garrity: Lead singer of Freddie and the Dreamers! *GASP!*). It helps to know that we've BOTH got a couple of moody cry babies on our hands, hopelessly devoted to us, heart and soul, as we are to them. -- What?

Yes. These are the stories and jokes we make up for our own personal amusement. And yes, we are both perfectly sane, semi-normal girls, with too much, *clap clap*, time on our hands, who both like to dress up and make highly important unnecessary videos. Love ya, Jorgé!! =)

Ahhh. Haha, well I hope you have more luck with yours. Mine likes to turn off randomly by itself. My favorite time it does that is riiight when I'm int he middle of writing a long text.

Bobby really got a kick out of this. Some of his fans were kind of upset, but he has a great sense of humor, and in general is about as swell a guy as you would ever want to meet.

Felt like I was watching a 'CLEAN' skit from SNL.....BRAVO!!!!!!!!!...Enjoy­ed every minute of it, THANK YOU : ] .......Love that you included so many different characters, you had me laughing through the whole thing. Do not usually comment but had to on this one. Your admiration as a young person for Bobby Rydell is to be applauded only wish more youngen's felt the same. And yes I heard Neil on the phone : ] .....MORE PLEASE!!!!!

If you've never seen it, you need to look up the "Roddy's Film Companion" comic and take a look. I think you'll like it--the creater is just as crazy, (in a totally GOOD way!), as you are! Now, off to watch part two... :)

I don't know why I didn't comment on this the first time I watched it several months ago, but I'm going to remedy that now. I saw the two new installments you just posted, but had to rewatch this one so I'd remember what was going on. I've had a mad love affair with Roddy for the past nearly forty years, and I think your movie is FAB!!! I'm SO eager to watch the new parts, to see what kind of trouble Bobby, Roddy & CO get into. And the bit about reaching for the same scarf--LOVE it!

I was relieved to learn they had won a World Series tho bc at least that gave me something to go off of.

But finding some audio for that was NOT as easy as I thought it would be. I had to piece something I found together with some cheering from another thing, and then I had to figure out how to give it that "TV" sound ya know?? And of course, I didn't know wtf I was doing bc audio editing makes no sense to me. Omg Jorgé. OMG. WHY. The things we put ourselves thru for these boys!
