DDR Disney Grooves Turkey In The Straw

You'd think from the way it sounds it would be a Super Samurai like chart, but since the foot ratings are HUGELY inflated in this game (and for some this'll probably be a good thing), the song isn't NEARLY as difficult. It does have crossover streams and a slowdown part that I still screw up because I'm expecting 16ths there.

Unless anyone else has any sort of requests, this will probably be the last DDR Disney Grooves video I put up. Truth be told, after finishing Groove Circuit mode for the second time and getting nothing in return for it, I'm about done. No use doing score runs since the game is by and large easier than even Mario Mix.

Admit it. You are guilty of violating some of the laws of physics here right? A lot of those moves look like they require the dancer to have at least an extra pair of feet.

Of all the songs in Disney Grooves, this one is my bane. I can't even get past a single bronze on Difficult, and then I have to get one of my friends to untangle my legs afterward.

So what is the secret to completing this one? (all I want is to at least be able to score a single silver on Difficult).

@nowthatsjustducky This is really MUCH simpler than it looks if you have a decent amount of experience in DDR. It wouldn't be anything more than an 8 on the old scale and maybe a 10 to 11 on the new scale.

I really wish they would've just extended the rating system instead of rerating everything. The issue with the old system wasn't 1-9. It was having Max 300 having the same rating as Pluto Relinquish. I think if they would've extended it to 15 and re-rated the 10's, we'd be OK with that.

That would've made more sense, but then they were probably thinking that it'd be too much like ITG. Look at it this way though, it looks like that the 1-20 scale will be exclusive to DDRX and X2, as HP3 and the 360/PS3 games are using the 1-10 scale again.

Oi... that's a 10??? LOL maybe I should get this after all... I'll be able to finally AA a 10, then :D.

I have a question hopefully someone can answer: is there doubles mode in this DDR? The previous Wii ones didn't have doubles, which was disappointing, but I see "singles mode" in this video and others, so I'm wondering if that was changed! If anyone knows, and can tell me, that would be amazing. Thanks!

Just as an update (not that anyone is likely to be following this little drama), I finally got that gold on this on Basic about 15 minutes ago...

And that was only about halfway into the warmup part of my workout. (I like to do a 100KCal warmup on Basic, then 300 workout on difficult, and finish with a 100 cool down on Basic) Now to finish the warmup with some favorites (Small World, Tiki Room, and Davy Crockett.)

Well, I finally managed to get a single silver several times on Basic, and on my final run for today's workout, actually made a double silver.

I am pretty certain that perhaps within a few days, I'll get that elusive gold.

I am also quite certain that anyone who can get silver or higher on this one on Difficult or Expert is obviously some 8 legged alien that needs to be reported to the MIB.

I'm agree with you , the difficulty of DG is ridiculous. I do not buy it.
