Regardless of what she does or does not do dramatically, hers is more a real Tosca voice than most out there right now...
-
Sorry, but she seats and produces some wonderful sounds, then she gets up and produces some other (to long) beautiful sounds.... I do believe Tosca is something else...
I love Caballe... in the 70s with Rossini, Donizetti et Bellini, but...

that is an interesting baritone :)))

thank you so much xx

molto bravi tutti e tre!!!
-
Vocally great, all three of them. However, her acting....not convincing at all. Pity.

@543johnson Especially the third one whch she holds forever and then continues with the next phrase without a breath!

bravo pons! tube la suerte de verlo en el mismo papale en octubre en Oviedo

Thanks for posting this, Onegin! It isn't easy to play evil, but Pons is convincing, and he has a beautiful voice to do it with. He and Caballe do a memorably fine job here with Carreras joining them at the end to broaden and meld the whole to a still higher level by adding a legendary vittoria at the end.
Well worth watching! Thanks again for posting. Bravissimo/ bravissima to all involved!
