I predict that Carolina and Kansas will meet in the 2008 National Title Game. And, it will be the most hyped and most watched game in history! Think about the ties between Carolina and Kansas! Roy Williams was once the head coach at Kansas. Dean Smith went to Kansas. Former Kansas Assistant Matt Doherty was the coach at Carolina. Former Kansas Head Coach Larry Brown went to UNC. Also, these 2 teams met in the 1957 Final, and in the 1991 and 1993 Semifinals. Who agrees with me?

UNC may have won by 1 point over GU in '82, but as
smith admitted afterwards, he was outcoached by thompson.

One thing about Dean Smith-he almost never lost, but if you beat him, it seemed like he would always find a way to get revenge. The best example is after Michigan beat North Carolina in the 1989 NCAA Tournament on the way to winning the title. The next season, Dean signed Eric Montross, who was almost a lock for going to Michigan. Then, in 1993, with Montross as a junior, Dean and the Tarheels beat Michigan to win the title. So he got double revenge! Who agrees?
