If by "crime" you mean people looting grocery stores and hospital buildings inorder to survive, then your definition of "crime" is demented. Where the fuck are people gonna go with household furniture and flat screen TV's when people are living in their attic's with no electricity?

Two million African Americans showed up on D.C. for Obama's inauguration but two hundred thousand of them could not get out of New Orleans?? It is a shame they have to act entitled during a natural catastrophe rather than helping their neighbors.

What's going on in the world, especially the streets of America make Streets of Rage rather tame -- then again, considering the storyline, the gangs that ran the city run the nation and world with business suits and large homes -- gangs aren't just those losers with pants hanging off their butts, it's all both organized and unorganized.

Wow. And here I thought racism had all but died out . Reading over the comments here.. How about this point of view? There is a large city, one that people weren't expecting to get hit until maybe a day or two before the hurricane hit. Many of its residents with no car, reliant ont he busses they said were coming to pick them up.The busses that never came. Kids calling in over the radio crying because their mom is missing now there is water in her room. No tv, government locked people in.

this was an awesome sight in a sense

@MegaSonic I was there too. These people were a bunch of scumbag leeches that didn't deserve anyone's help. The people of New Orleans really showed what they were made of...and it wasn't pretty.

I LOVED the streets of rage theme! That is one of my favorite video games ever. good shit
Do you have any idea what the 200K+ Katrina refugees did to the City of Houston? They were so bad in Houston EVERYONE wanted them gone including black white hispanic asian, they ALL wanted the NO savages to leave their city.
What libtards fail to understand is that rewarding that behavior out of pity or whatever reason only enables it & instills a sense of entitlement in them. Houston's a bit more strict on crime than nawlins, that's why they don't have AS much violence. Even Ray Nagin said.

do you have any idea of how many of the refugees actually caused trouble? The main problem was caused by the lack of places for people to stay. Once again you judge the actions of a few people and associate them with everyone. The crime in Houston went up, but not by the number of refugees. Those who committed crimes in Houston were mainly already criminals. You seem to hold hatred in your heart against these people with a passion, so much so that you have forgotten they are human.

Why did they shoot at the hellicopters trying to deliver them supplies. I have no sympathy for them. All they do is bich & whine and want the government to support them.

you can't judge everyone by the actions of a few people. And you don't understand why some of the actions were taken. When there was a good chance to help these people, they were ignored. There was a history of them being shunned. Why would they believe the government was coming to help them? There was no communication to tell them why the military was there, no evidence that anyone had tried to help when they should have.

Some people do take unnecessary, and bad actions. Some people do complain more than they should. Some people don't do enough to help themselves. But not everyone. And they should not be expected to pull themselves up by their own bootstraps when they don't have any. If you have no sympathy for people who died because of a storm, I have no sympathy for your ignorance.

I would only donate money to Miss, none to the lazy ignorant ingrates in nawlins. Plenty of others felt the same. Houston was the real victim of Katrina.

I think you need to wake up. Sure some of the NO victims chose to stay, but many had no choice. They were there because they had no where to go, and no way to leave. Why? Because no one was willing to help them. And donating money is not much help to anyone, Mississippian or otherwise.
