@meanstreak777 Sounds like a good deal. Let me know how the bike handles once you've put the things in. There's a workshop near my place that does the same thing. I might go down the same route. Have you done your sprockets? I changed to -1/+2 and managed to slash 2+ secs off my lap time. The only downside is I run out of fuel (from full tank) after 23 laps as the engine runs at higher rpms everywhere.

@nazablitz I am thinking about going with some racetech springs and internals and complete racetech rear spring/shock as they are suppose to use the same components as ohlins at a fraction of the $. The suspension guy at the track said he could respring and revalve my forks for $800 and the rear shock for $600 and would throw in setting it up and tweaking it at the track.

I had the O2 bug removed when I did my exhaust to avoid the FI light problem. I have to do up my suspension as well. One of my forks is still leaking even after having it redone twice. Am thinking of getting a pair of ohlins but as you know the thing is bloody expensive. I have the twitchy problem as well when opening up the gas wide open exiting corners.

Ok, the tracks I go to use flags and when u said light all I could think of was FI light going off on your bike. Its pretty common on zx10s for the computer to throw a code because of the exhaust servo or the absence of one if u ave a full system. BTW love that 3rd gen and way to rip it up on that track. I am trying to get the $ up to put a decent suspension on my 2nd gen cause its really twitchy and not as smooth.

@meanstreak777 No, it was the track marshall red light that is shown whenever a crash happens and the session suspended.

Was the red light a FI code
Do they have minimum lap times you have to maintain to run in advanced? Some of the clinics around here do and I think I could get close sometimes but not consistently. I think after getting the susp. set right I could as the min. for a 1.7 mile track is 1:35 which is what I average now but most of the advanced guys are hitting around the 1:10 mark. I have thought about getting a 3rd gen but cant seem to part with my 2nd gen although I know a 3rd is a better platform. maybe a 4th gen someday

@meanstreak777 I haven't attended any clinics, mostly self-taught. The track sessions that I attend are mostly "open" sessions where anyone can go in regardless of skill level. I still have a lot to work on, to the bike and my skills before reaching competitive level for local race. Need to find about 10 secs or so. I definitely could benefit from some coaching. Most of the racers here use cbr1000 as their weapon of choice. I'm one of the few with the 08 zx10r.

I went -1+1 we only run 20 min. sessions at the track clinics I attend. How big is that track that you run a tank out in 23 laps. The tacks I run are around 2 miles give or take a tenth or two and I can get 3 sessions in b4 even thinking about gassing up. I think getting my suspension set up correctly would help me step into the advanced skill level times as I am running around the bottom of intermediate times.

@meanstreak777 This track hosts F1 and motogp races, 3.44 miles long, pretty wide for bikes. The session is typically 2 hours long and you can go in and out anytime you want. Yes I think good suspension is important to go faster around the track, I need someone to set my suspension as well as the bike doesn't feel "right" at some points on the track. I've been setting the suspension myself despite knowing nuts about suspension, probably messed it up more.
