Powermat displays new wireless charging systems at CES 2009, a convenient wireless alternative to mobile phone, computer and appliance chargers. The system uses magnetic induction to transfer energy to almost any device.

some one needs to make this for the nissan leaf a docking station you can instal without hassel in your garage. No wires drive and charge the leaf without ever pluging it in. Seems like a dream... but really we have the power and the technology all we need to do is pull our heads outta the ground and see the light at the end of the tunnel!

LMFAO!! give me a break... What a rip off! the user needs to plug their device into another device and then place it on the mat to charge... If I plug my device into the wall, not only will it charge but I would still be able to pick it up and move around a bit depending on the length of the cord... sort it out, stop trying to rip people off! MORON
