My wife Sue and I are the fourth generation to feed cattle and farm the East Nishnabotna River Valley in southwest Iowa. With help from four employees, we manage 2,400 acres, including 1,100 acres of corn, 800 acres of soybeans and 200 acres of alfalfa. Our family knows that good environmental stewardship protects important natural resources for future generations of farmers.

  • Wonderful! We have "happy meat" - cows normally can live up to 20 years.... these poor creatures, once they are "fattened" get sent to slaughter in about 12 months. Many are still concience when dis-esembled - read "They Die Piece by Piece" Washington Post.

The "controlled run-off" - it's a manure lagoon isn't it? The poop does go into the ground water-methane does contribute to greenhouse gas as well.

Nice video-but still content leading a morally happy & physically healthy VEGAN life.
