  • It's a nice record, but the changing of the tempi doesn't match to the time of J.S.Bach. Popov plays it like he feel the music. That doesn't smaller the record,

Nevertheless, I hope Konstantin has a good life and can stick to his music as long as possible. I know a lot of great russian musicians who starve without playing on foreign streets. To make profession out of passion is the way of life I would prefer...

  • @11Kralle Konstantin was born in 1958 and was playing guitar since 10 yo. Graduated music college in Saint-Petersburg, Russia and then graduated music conservatory in Lvov, Ukraine. His diploma research was "Five fingers technique(FFT) and using FFT to play clavichord Bach's music on a 6 strings guitar". So he is extremely experienced professional classical musician and i don't dare to imagine i could play tenth worth. It's like to envy Hendrix. :) Cheers!)

Yes, you are right about that. It seems to me, that this is to be called a (potential) 6-choir-guitar - because of the dualstringed-choires, whose to be tuned in octaves/primes. I envy Konstantin Popovs abilities a little - but practise remains practise. I have transposed a lot of Bachs pieces in order to play them from tabulature by reading, lazy as i am...

  • @11Kralle No, that's an 6 strings guitar even it could possibly be an 12 strings guitar (if you'll put 6 more strings). Konstantine Popov has developed the way to play the J.S.Bach's "Well Tempered Clavichord" in the original keys on the 6 strings guitar using the "five fingers" technique. As you can see he uses his pollex too to play on frets.

  • What is that kind of guitar like? I wonder why there are 12 mechanics - kind of resonant strings anywhere?

  • Интересная техника игры....в общем здорово

  • СПАСИБО)

  • Constantin,

    With all the respect.
