A little something for my regular viewers. This shows ground recording of a flight from a backyard with numerous improvements on the video transmission and reception side. Don't bother asking what the improvements are, they're still a secret ;)

  • "ALT" indicator in OSD seems to be wrong. isn't it?

  • @gandulfo77 yes, it switched to above sea-level instead of above-ground-level .. so it's off by about 330m.

  • What camera are you using in this one? Still using the OHQ550?

  • So will you ever let us know exactly what equipment you use so others can enjoy the same experience? :) I can see why you dont want to tell but sharing is caring in a friendly comunity of RC FPV flyers! :p

  • It's really amazing how stable the transmission is.

    But just in case:

Do you have some kind of emergency routine in case the video transmission is interrupted?

In any case, nice video (just like your other ones) and impressive technology.

  • @sstimmyy Trappy did not invent FPV. You can do exactly what they do by just doing a little research of your own. I'm sure Trappy + TBS have plenty of secret special technologies but you don't need those to fly 99% of the time. Get Immersion 500mw vTx, EzUhf, EzOSD, Ez Antenna Tracker. Get high gain patch antenna. Now you can fly 10-20-30km.

  • @mrmts no. when the "blackout" happens I rev up to gain altitude, this lowers the battery voltage because it draws a lot of power. the idea is to gain altitude quickly and regain signal that way.

  • @nastycop420 agc that boosts the signal pwr beyond spectrum maximum? I noticed the batt dropped on blackout.

  • this is awesome man, is there any latency between the picture and controlling the plane? if so, how much...this would be so fun to do.

  • Impressive. Very well done. I'm sure there are lots people who want to know how you did this.

  • @kledder2 Probably a simple case of not being zero'd before flight.
