The lady at 2:05 is Sharbat Gula, a native of Afghanistan. The picture was taken in 1984, by NG photographer Steve McCurry, and placed on the cover of NG. It has been viewed by millions around the world. For a period, Gula's face was the most popular in the world, and for many years she was totally unaware of her popularity.
