DROID

The DROID is a brand new Android 2.0 device by Motorola for Verizon. This device is fantastic - I've read the preview by Boy Genius Report, looked over the device, and so far I'm loving it. This could very well replace the Voyager.

Not exactly. OS X is based on BSD which is different than Linux, but both are UNIX based.

I love the iPhone. However I'm used to Verizon's network. The Voyager is not going to last too much longer. So, I need something, and I need it fast. Right now it's a toss up between the Droid by Motorola and the Droid Eris by HTC. The difference in price is $100 ($99 on contract for the Eris vs. $199 for the Droid), no flash on the Eris (both cameras are 5 MP), Android 1.6 on the Eris vs 2.0 on the MotoDroid, but I do get the SENSE UI which I'm a huge fan of for it's simplicity, so we'll see.
