The truly scary thing about the Patriot Act is not that it was passed in the hysteria following 9-11; but that it has been renewed 3 times since then when the hysteria is passed and nearly half of Americans believe that it is necessary for their safety. Now THAT IS FRIGHTENING, the fact that over half of American Citizens are willing to give up their rights for the false sense of security that the Patriot Act provides and that not a single one of them knows what is in it.
