Mix one part real time strategy and one part role-playing game and you get Dawn of War 2. By completely removing resource management from all aspects of the game, the games focus on action and tactics is taken to the forefront. Unfortunately, the great attention to the various types of heroes, their abilities, and their ability to level up is greatly reduced by the extremely redundant types of enemies.

  • Uh, if your games are monotonus you must be playing against the computer on easy mode dude, play online and on normal or higher.

  • its not monotonous at alll i bought this game when it first came out and it is awesome i have quite a few hours on it (about 200) and even the singleplayer skirmish matches are awesome, along with the campaign, multiplayer is great too. relic did a awesome job with last stand i think (its simmilar to nazi zombies in a way, but this time you can be actually successful at lvl 20 when you win) this is an awesome game i highly recommend

  • Damn wish i had a good enough graphics card to play this game, but i don't know why you say it's monotonous, i can't actually think of another RTS that isn't just shooting, melee, shooting, melee etc, it's just a RTS with no resources but more RPG

  • When they made starcraft, they actually had to get pormission from GW, because they are so closly related to Tyranids.

The only problem i see with it is that they could have easily included Necron, Tau, Guard, etc. But they didnt, and i have to idea why not.

Im getting this game next weekend, looks awesome, online seems balenced, which should be a nice change from other games.

The minurature game is great, Space Marines are the best.

  • this game is so amazing, especially to players of the miniatures game. i play the miniature game all the time, but dont really play the rts that much. just got it installed again since my computer crashed. you said there are 3 races, there are 4. nids and orks swarm in mele, marines are great in both, but will be quickley outnumbered. eldar are good at range or mele depending on who you use.

  • weird

the orks main strengh is in their numbers

they are powerful and have alot of men, but have crappy vehicles

  • -.- dude, did you eaven TRY multi? that or U got ass raped 10 times in a row so u skipped multi. awsome game recoment it, but as you did say the single player ant hat gr8

  • it is not on 360 only pc dude. That is space mafrrine you are thinking about.

  • should i get dawn of war 2 for pc or for xbox 360 i have live for 360 and online for pc witch do you guys reccomend?
