But none of these indicate he is "trying" to be like Bob Dylan. A hat is so general. The other stuff is unavoidable. his stance or physical gestures are inherent, and the guitar playing is more than likely learned. I would be more apt to say he's a musician who plays guitar/writes his own songs than Bob Dylan's son who is trying to "be just like him." Nothing personal, but I've always considered J. someone who tries to avoid the father comparisons by painstakingly trying to do his own thing.

Jakob's his own man. I'd listen to this music even if his last name weren't "Dylan." It's probably hard to avoid comparisons, but if we must, I'd have to say that I like Jakob's voice better. One way in which he does resemble his Dad is that he knows how to fuse roots, rock, blues, and country and he's a masterful lyricist. And -- unlike his dad -- I'm glad he can carry on an interview and is quite engaging in public. He seems like a great guy and family man.

His voice here sounds exactly like Bruce Springsteen's.
