  • "no doubt the best heavy weight of all time"? Is that dick head serious?

  • @shupe1907 Totally agree, the Douglas fight was proof of this. Once his original trainer and management team were gone you could see the decline

  • @NesBoy1985 He was at the top of his game for such a VERY BRIEF period of time. 1988, 1989, by 1990 at only 24 he was already started on a downward spiral. Never the same from that point on.

  • Tyson here in this video is NOT the same Tyson of the late 80's. Here he has no desire or movement he's flat footed and already done

    Best comment !!!

  • What the match would of been like with a prime Tyson, who can say? More exciting, certainly. But I won't guess as to whom the winner would of been. Tyson in his prime was scary and impressive as shit.

But Lewis has always been good. His two weaknesses as a boxer was that he was lazy, never doing more than needed, and that he wasn't spectacular. His approach was that boxing is a job, and he was good at his job, and that should be enough.

He is clever though. and Tyson, sadly, is not.

  • The Mike Tyson myth is so absurd. The mans competition in his "prime" years was embarrassing. Look at their records. He was DESTROYED by buster douglas.... it was not a lucky punch, but a long, painful beatdown. Buster Douglas was never been anyone where the class of Lewis. Mike then got koed by a blown up cruserweight in Holyfield. Lewis would have always beaten him.... and by the way the version of Lewis that beat Mike was also way past his prime at 38.

I gather you're not old enough to remember Tyson of the mid to late 80's? He would have destroyed Lewis.

  • @NesBoy1985

    Exactly!

  • "Lewis cements his legacy of one of the best heavyweight champions of this era"

Maybe, but not with this fight, Tyson wasn't a good fighter at this point. His life was in shambles and he no longer wanted to be in the ring, he no longer had the fire in his heart. Lewis (at any age) vs. pre 90's Tyson, Lewis would have been no more than a lump of pulsating flesh on the canvas.
