Hey, I had a question about a Dynaflow transmission I was trying to rebuilt , but I took out the cluthes, the output shaft was seized. Now I do know that the trans mission was empty when I got the car, and the remaining fluid was burnt. What I want to know is - is it possible to get this shaft out? Would this transmission still be salvagable? It is a Twin Turbine Dual Path Dynaflow Transmission out of a 1962 Buick Special.

@gmentrans Well, i know now.lol I am "muzzleloader89" just on a different account. i sold the truck earlier this year. Transmission was still flawless when i sold it. Guess i had nothing to worry about.

Do you guys do all transmissions? Or just GM ones? Im looking at getting my 904 Torqueflite for my 72 Plymouth rebuilt and adding an overdrive gear. How much do you think that would cost and where is the nearest shop closest to south east Kansas lol?

what are you waiting fo money so i could get one duh

New here... Truly amazing!! Talk about a high skill job. Thanks for posting this video... Considering all the components and the no mistake processes it takes to do this right, it would be interesting to know how many CORRECT actions must be made to "do it right, the first time"!! Best wishes for the New Year!

i just had my 700r4 serviced (not rebuilt) when i went to pick my truck up, the mechanic told me that there was a piece of the second gear band about the size of half of a pinkey finger nail in the pan. but he said he could not tell me when the band would fail. does anybody have a guess as to when it might fail?

There is no telling how long it will last. How can he even be sure it was from the band being that small.

Where's the steels for the 3-4 clutch pack? Does it not need them since it's a one-side clutch? I know this sounds like a stupid question, but I'm pretty new to the transmission business so I know zero about performance transmission building.

The steels and clutches are one. it has clutch material on one side and it is a steel on the other, so when you place them together you have the steel side against the clutch side which in turn gives you more room to put more clutches in the 3-4 clutch drum.

The 3-4 pack we use in this transmission is called a Z-Pak by Raybestoes.
