Funny vid, but serious too. I think basic reasoning skills should be taught in grade school, over and over. If ppl had to understand basic logic and the nature of fallacious arguments before they graduated high school, the whole nature of TV news, political debates, advertising, etc. would have to change. Maybe even become concerned with truth again. At least I can dream.

@ChristianIce If my opinion is so wrong, why is it the highest rated comment on this posting? I accept your apology, but must insist that you "wise-up" and vote Republican in the fall... after all, everyone else will be. See you in November.
-
@ChristianIce Your comment makes no sense. What exactly are you trying to say? Is EVERYTHING racism? Is the fact that I can't even bear to listen to Obama anymore racism? No! I reject that! His politics are what disturb me, not his color. If I were going to be mad at his skin color.... I'd just as soon disagree with his white half. Funny, a falacious YouTube posting about OTHER PEOPLES FALACIES.... physician heal thyself!
-
They were also all white, but you didn't think that it could be racism, right?
Fact is that republicans give a lot more material about the topic, who's fault is that?
XD

on Appeal to authority fallacies, here's an exerpt from a philosophy encyclepedia:
"arguments from authority are an important part of informal logic. Since we cannot have expert knowledge of many subjects, we often rely on the judgments of those who do. There is no fallacy involved in simply arguing that the assertion made by an authority is true. The fallacy only arises when it is claimed or implied that the authority is infallible in principle and can hence be exempted from criticism."

True, but the fallaciousness of the ad hominim's logic is more obvious to people.
This is, I think, why it wasn't included.
-
You forgot false analogy and ad hominim. Those two are used a lot too, especially ad hominim.

It's not bias. The demographic that watches Rocketboom wants to see Republicans trashed. It's an appeal to the majority of their viewers. Had they treated both parties equally, it would have turned a number of their viewers off.
Hahahahaha. Yeah you certainly are an intelligent young lady. But what I find to be so amusing, is the fact that all the arguements or examples, were indeed at the core, "strawman arguements." Then at the very end, you address the fallacy of strawman argumentation.
This is like the magician, that can get you to look at the right hand, so you don't see what the left hand is doing.
Clever though, for those who are'nt really watching and listening.
