My first video without a time limit.
This film presents what happens when rail travel and transport goes horribly wrong. Interviews with transportation experts and graphic footage of rail accidents. Some discussion is given to recent safety advances and the chances that such advances will be put into general use. Also includes computer animation of wrecks.

The Amtrak engine was number 900 first off the assembly line of 54 based on the engine of Swedens electric fleet. Amtrak was looking for a faster engine in the late 70's and turned to the Swedes for their design resulting in AEM 7 numbers 900 through 954. Number 900 presented the testing that would convince Amtrak to purchase a fleet and for New Jersey Transit to purchase ALP4400. SEPTA and MARC purchased AEM 7's and Amtrak still uses them today with 900 and 903 destroyed in the accident.

LIKE WOW MAN, I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR THIS VIDEO FOR 8 YEARS!!!!! YES THIS IS ALL CAPS. I couldn't find it on NTSC but its available on PAL in England, right? How can I get this video???? Thanks for posting this, i've been wanting to see the best coverage of the Chase Maryland accident. Also, did you know that the Amtrak engine was number 900 and 903? That is special because the engines are unique and number 900 was the revolutioniary first one of the 54 engines still used today.
