Selection from Film "Broadway Melody of 1936" (Freed/Brown).
Jack Payne & His Band (with vocal choruses).
PART TWO.
'Intro; I've got a Feelin' You're Foolin', 'On a Sunday Afternoon', 'You Are My Lucky Star'.
A nice big sounding, film sounding Jack Payne Film Selection, the bands last one actually, Jack Payne's Rex recordings ending in November 1936.
A happy sounding Billy Scott Coomber gives us 'On a Sunday Afternoon'. Rust and Forbes however cannot identify the female vocalist, and I cant give a guess, anyone know out there?.A nice record and very well played as ever.
This was recorded in London during December, 1935.
So cool!

Find the movie on IMDB, then click the 'Buy it on Amazon' button on the left. There is a DVD available there which has the 1936 and 1938 versions.
