Acer Aspire One A110 boot XP Home SP3 w/ flashpoint SSD accelerator

I made this video to show skeptics that the SSD Acer Aspire One is very usable under Windows XP. This is a full version of XP Home, and not a crippled(nlited) version. Flashpoint SSD accelerator was used to really improve performance.... Shown in the video are boot times, FF startup, youtube, Photoshop CS4 and shutdown times.

xp can be so highly skinned. i mean, i've never seen such drastic modifications to vista or osx.

So true. That's the reason XP is still alive and kicking today... it's the best OS MS has ever made. Let's hope Win7 will be the next best thing. VISTA is a dud, everybody knows that hehehe. :)

On a sales standpoint, it is a dud. Why do you think MS is comming out with Windows 7? Vista will be fastest OS that is being replaced by a newer OS. Read up, it's all over the internet. How VISTA has not lived up to it's hype...

2 of my desktop workstations are running vista. 1 runs windows 7, 1 runs xp, 1 runs linux.... 2 laptops(1 runs vista biz edition), 2 netbooks(1xp 1 win7).

So YES, I have used VISTA. And I can paste links here from reputable sites stating Vista as a dud. But I'll let you google around, I'm sure you know how. ;)

Vista is also certainly not a dud sales wise. It exceeded Windows XP's two-month sales in two-weeks and exceeded Microsoft's estimates by about 10 million sold if I remember correctly. Vista comes with just about every new computer sold today and is incredibly stable now that it has decent driver support. Have you ever even used Win Vista or do you always just repeat what you read on the Internet.

No it isn't the fastest OS to be replaced. Microsoft typically comes out with new operating systems 2-3 years after their predecessor. XP was an exception to this rule but Vista being replaced in late 2009/early 2010 by Windows 7 is par of the course with MS operating systems.
