@DJBlackBounce because her background plays a big part in what she sings about i.e. Nigeria, different social problems that affect the people there, racism, prejudice, corruption, taking away someone's dignity, god, strength, love the human condition, life, death and everything in between. Yes many people not only nigerians or germans can relate. Her songs are universal because she promotes gods love and that is something that doesn't divide people. How is her background irrelevant??

morden day tracy chapman :) love it
cont. Music should not be tied down to things like that. start listening to music in the fuckin radio, no artist background stories, no bodies, no colors... just the fuckin music. Music does not have nationality, it comes from a natural fenomenum that happends wherever there is air.

i just can't believe u fucks... discussing where shes from; wtf has that to do with the music she makes? she has awsome lyrics, speaks the truth, nice voice, nice instrumental, that's it. that's all u should supposed to need to enjoy her music. "she's nigerian, she's german, she's hot, it's rap, it's r&b..." fuck that shit.
