Bush speaks up against Armenian Genocide Lies and bullying

President Bush speaks up against the Armenian hate machine that is trying to pass a bill by way of bribed Armenian Caucus politicians, promoting a one sided view of an event categorized as treachery, deceit, and terrorism by Armenians against their Ottoman Government, but wrongly worded as a genocide. Turkish suffering is never mentioned on this issue. Bush spoke up, but cited Turkish friendship, not Turkish suffering.

Thanks brother. It's good to see some levelled headed posts. Indeed the Ottomans could have done more if they wanted. They let the Armenian militias pillage Turkish villages for 60 year prior to WW1 and they did nothing. The deportation of Eastern Armenians was miniscule compared to 3 million Turkish, Kurdish, Circassian and other deaths caused directly by Armenians working with mother Russia...

after all that tolerance you think Turks were going to kill Armenians out of nowhere? If you look at true History it is actually Armenians who started this conflict. because they were egged on by outside influence and was preparing for a war to happen between Russia and Turkey so they can help out and claim a nation for themselves. some leaders of armed groups would also provoke war so massacres happen which will result in outside intervention which Armenians thought would be an oppurtunity

of course Ottoman laws were not so great compare to modern world...but you have to admit the Turkish Empire was the most tolerant at that time. think about it if we were such "nazis" do you think during the period we ruled for 600 years Kurds and Armenians would still talk their language and practice their culture? compare that to the Europeans who landed on the American continent just in the last 2 centuries and already the native of the land lost most of their language, culture, etc.

@livingdream1234 what do you thinkwe Turks are going to just hand over land to the Armenians just because they claim it. the place you call western Armenia is also claimed by Kurds as North Kurdistan..who should we give it to? It is a fact that during the early days of Ottoman Empire everything was going smoothly between Turks, Kurds, Armenians etc until the decline of Empire and rise of outside influence (British, French, Russian) and nationalism. which divided all of us.

@livingdream1234 the Ottomans, Germans etc wanted to expand their empires but British, French, Russian, Armenians didnt??? where do you learn your history? and Arabs don't hate us..we'll some do but we see how well those ones take care of their own country...they are the extremely fundamentalist ones..Turkey is also not desperate of anything right now..not even from Europe actually if you follow the nes it is Europe that is starting to knock in Turkey's door recently

@Anatolian90 The uprisings weren't only in Armenia, they were in all the ottoman controlled regions beginning 19th century. The ottomans were the enemy in WWI, together with Austro/Hungerian and Germans. They all wanted to extend empires. The ottomans had bad reputation and wanted to save the left overs, which is turkey now.Also, don't forget whose ass got kicked agains azeris. turkey is desparate and now you are backing up from Europe, but even arabs hate you. I don't think you enjoy life much.

@Anatolian90 your no stupid turkish tactics to push Armenian's buttons using words such as "poor". This contradicts your statements that you said"you don't hate Armenians". The only explaination is you are hypocrites.

You turks owe your whole riches to your strategic geo-political advantage that draws nato and western attention. The history that predates you turks by thousands of years in so called Anatolia, which draws tourists to feel turkish pockets. BTW, Western Armenia is not Anatolia.

@Anatolian90 One thing is for sure, you said it yourself " We just want Armenians to get off our back", so then the whole historical commition's purpose is to do that and get away with it. Let me add to that, "the turks maybe get Armenians temprarily off their backs, but their won't get the conscience cleared as long as they enjoy the bounty of the land that it's history has nothing to do with turks before 1000 years ago, and the turkish part is bloody and full of forced turkishifications".

@livingdream1234 and wether Armenians trust us or not is not our concern.. we just want Armenians to get off our back..the joint historical comission is not some sort of conspiracy to rewrite history. it is infact the opposite as it is Armenians who are telling a biased/ half made up history to justify their repiration and land claims from Turkey since they got their ass kicked 100 years ago. Turkey moves forward everyday while Armenia is still poor because they dont know how to move on.

@livingdream1234 first of all the skeletons can be anyone..even Turkish we are not denying people were massacred, died of hunger, desease etc 100 years ago.. but you cannot be biased and say Turks commited a genocide against Armenians what about the Armenian revolts and massacres caused by rebels...what about Armenians helping Russians invade Turkey and show them the roads and supply lines etc. do you think we just decided to kill Armenians out of nowhere just because we felt like it?
