@ShadowKeyKnight yes it doesnt matter if an other culture has conquered an other culture. but it is about how long they controlled that culture. and the romans changed alot in spain and italia and the germans did change cultures in west europe. for example: Netherlands and Belgium and England as you said.

@mronlogisch does it matter if you would have conquered or not? I mean, the Germanic tribes conquered West-Roman Empire, they dont speak any germanic language, but England as the only does speak a germanic language
