A girl who is sole heir of her fathers factory must forsake her chance to be a wife and live the life of a man. A man paints pictures of her and they fall in love. But their love is doomed as once this is seen and she opens her heart to marriage another man greedy to take the factory off her declares himself the better suitor. A competition involving daring stunts with firecrackers is done where the two men must prove they have the skills to be firecracker factory owner and husband. The man she loves does the greatest stunt and ...well he is taken away on a stretcher but he proved to love her most.. Doomed to marry the man who only wants money and power she refuses to marry and spends her life alone looking out to the river hoping the injured man will return....the end
