driving with the jake shifting gears

banging the 18 speed with the jake on...also its my brother commenting and it was his first time in the truck so he was excited... hahaha it also has hollowed out cans on it

@DieselSmoke92 hahha for how slow the truck accelerates it sure seems like it but i am for sure going thru a gear every time. in this paticular truck you need to shift at every 250 rpm... makes for a lot of shifting and low speeds

whats the trick to doing this? i can up shift just fine but when down shifting i take it outta gear the jake kicks in then i over rev the motor then i miss the gear so... whats the trick?

@247copenhagen the trick to shifting with the jake on either up or down is rev matching the gears. when the jake is engaged during your shift the trans is in the neutral positon in between gears. so keeping in mind that the jake with make the rpm drop more quickly you need to faster shifting the gears.. and from that point all you need is practice. another good point too remember is to be smooth on both the throttle and the shitfer as not to be to rough.. good luck
