This is just a heat lamp warming and cooling. I had been listening to this song a lot at the time because it seemed to speak right to me. I was feeling some pain and this helped me a lot. One night after hanging out with friends and having a great time I came home and sat on my couch and realized I had not thought about that bad thing all night, and I put on my Ipod and listened to this song one more time and watched this heat lamp warm and cool, and I knew I was going to feel better. Some times pain lasts in your chest forever but knowing that each day is going to be a little better makes all the difference.

I thought I would try to re-create my experience for you all. I tried to sync the glowing and dimming to the music a little better by tweaking the heat adjust knob as I listened to it. So like the whole song hes working up to a peak which I think happens at around 2:05-2:20 (like its pretty clear the way that piano kicks in at 2:05....) Notice that at about 2:20 Willie has reached the most hopeful and accepting tone, and at that point the lamp is so bright its almost yellow and instead of pulsing in and out as it had the whole song up till then, it endures and grows in brightness for two counts, accentuating the literally "warm" feeling that Willies kind and beautiful voice is so great at conveying. After that at about 2:30 his voice starts to slow down again and the lamp starts to die back down too.

This song means a lot to me. Listening to it is almost hypnotizing, it helps to get over things.....or people..... well not to get over, but just to be OK.

This is the only video I come to when I want to hear this song because the quality is great and the image is just so simple that it is calming. thanks for not going over the top with the video and putting a slideshow or crazy videos from shows or something. Thanks for keeping it simple :)

Ahh, Commander Data, we will miss you, but your rendition of Blue Skies is simply amazing. For those who don't understand, Commander Data, from Star Trek The Next Generation, sang this in the final movie when he died.

When my Dad died last May 5th 2012, this song was on a CD that he left especially for me. I grew up with this music and Willie is one of my favourites singing voices of all time. This is song that my Da and I loved...... Makes me happy and sad at the same time. RIP Dad. Love you xxx
